Winter wonderland

It has been cold up here in the northern hemisphere.... very cold indeed! We've had snow and temperatures to minus 22 for over a week. Not so nice when biking to work (I have to visually check wether or not my ears are still attached and my gears continuously freeze up in first gear making me spin like crazy on my way to work) but great during the weekend for some good old fashioned winter fun.

This weekend the ice was solid enough to take Jeroen ice skating. We all wondered how he would do because he can be a bit of a chicken, but he did amazing! First holding on to both of us, then just to Esther and finaly going all by himself all over the place. The coolest thing was to see him put his hands behind his back like he had been skating for years!!! After that it was time to go home and have a hot chocolate. I always like my Milo's, but having just been outside in the freezing cold just gives it that something special.

After that we went for another walk outside, this time with the sleighs. Lots of fun was had by all! Jasper crashed a couple of times, but that never seems to bother him. So another nice trip outside. The temperatures will rise dramatically over the next couple of days so all the pretty white lanes and fields will turn into their mucky brow color again.

OK, then all there's ;eft to do is put on some pictures for you to look at! Enjoy the summer and untill we meet again in the wonderfull world of cyberspace.
